OLG CHARITABLE GAMING CENTRE
One of the goals of the chorus is to give of our time and talents to enrich the life of our community. The funds we received from volunteering at Kennedy Road Charitable Gaming Association recently allowed us to significantly enrich the life of our community – literally! In 2023, we were able to deliver generous financial contributions to four community agencies which do so much to support those in need: NeighbourLink North York, the Salvation Army, North York Community House and North York Harvest Food Bank. Thank you Kennedy Road Charitable Gaming Association for helping us to fulfill our mission. Visit our "Latest News" page to view cheque presentation photos.
If you belong to a charitable or non-profit organization looking for new fundraising opportunities, take a look at this link and consider volunteering at one of Ontario's Charitable Gaming Centres for a few hours a month in return for a share of their proceeds. https://www.globalheroes.com/successful-fundraising-with.../

OUR THANKS TO JUDY G. FOR OPENING HER HOME FOR OUR JUNE PARTY WHICH INCLUDED INSTALLATION OF OUR NEW BOARD AND CELEBRATION OF MEMBERS WITH DECADE BIRTHDAYS, tHANK YOU'S, GIFTS, CONVERSATION, FOOD AND LOTS OF FUN!
It was an exciting day for the Accolades at this year's Area 5 Contest. The chorus improved its score over last year by 46 points to win the Most Improved Chorus Award with its "Sunshine" song package. And, although we didn't qualify for Internationals this year, we received the Audrey Borsos Memorial Award for the chorus with the highest non-qualifying score.
In the evening, we changed from rays of sunshine to puppy dogs, as we got into costume to represent our movie theme of "101 Dalmations" at dinner and Moonglow. The audience enjoyed our rendition of "Cruella de Vil", watching us change from scared puppies to vengeful ones, capturing our director, Alana/Cruella, at the end of the song. At the end of the evening, we even won a couple of goodie baskets for our awesome table centrepieces, put together by Vimi.
